Up for the cup as national knockout action kicks off

WELSH Cup fever will be in the air when local sides prepare to take their first plunge into national knockout action this Saturday, September 1.

Perhaps the stand-out first qualifying round tie on Anglesey is the battle between Welsh Alliance Division Two newcomers Holyhead Town and revitalise­d Menai Bridge Tigers, currently top of the Gwynedd League with a 100% record.
