Menai Bridge Tigers burning bright against allcomers

MENAI Bridge Tigers completed a seventh straight win in the Cartrefi Cymunedol Gwynedd League, Dean Redmond (2), Sion Hogan and Kevin Roberts securing a 4-0 result against Mynydd Tigers.

It was an eight and ninth goal of the season for Redmond, who is topscorer for the on-fire islanders.

Bridge are six points clear at the summit from unbeaten Gwalchmai, who celebrated a 2-0 home win over Nefyn United to leapfrog their opponents into second place. Gethin Davies and Cian Owen registered for the Anglesey aces.

In the Lucas Oil Anglesey League, a Haydn Williams goal was enough to win the Holyhead derby, Hotspur Reserves edging past Caergybi 1-0.

Goal machines Bryngwran Bulls were involved in a rare 0-0 draw, visitors Cefni FC putting up an excellent performanc­e to take a point from the league leaders.

Cemaes Bay collected the spoils in a 4-3 thriller at Llandegfan. Sion Sullivan (2), Liam Rodriguez and Dafydd Jones were on target for the Bay, but bottom side Llandegfan ran them close with goals from David Parry, Kurt Harris and Geraint Roberts.

Bodorgan picked up the points from a 2-1 success at Pentraeth Reserves. Luke Allaway and Luke Gardner on target for the visitors, Peter Crowe for Pentraeth.
