AMLWCH CANOE CLUB: Meets in Amlwch pool 8.15pm-9.30pm. If you would like to try kayaking the club allows three Taster Sessions at £5 per person per session. Minimum age 8 and conditions apply to under-16s, parent/carers must stay in attendance for the sessions. Suggest participan­ts wear a T-shirt, the sessions will involve capsizing in a kayak. ANGLESEY CENTRAL LIONS: Is a local service organisati­on, and registered charity that raises money, holds events, and assists in events. During 2015 it donated £3,400 to local worthy causes. LEAP INTO LITERACY: The Leap into Literacy Saturday Club starts March 2– April 6 from 11-1pm (6 sessions in total). The circle used to meet at Bangor City Football Club. The Circle actually managed to hold its charity concert on Tuesday February 19, and made £358.88 on the evening this along with the collection made at “Not An Evening of Guitar” when the concert was cancelled at BCFC – the grand total donated to Awyr Las/ Blue Sky for Alaw Ward was £541.99! There was about 55 in the audience. Thanks to The Victoria Hotel who stepped in to help and all those who contribute­d to make it work – especially after cancelling twice!
