MORRIS DANCING: Thursdays 8-10pm. Cadi Ha Morris are looking for new members of any gender, aged 16+ to dance or as musicians. Come along on a Thursday evening to try it out free of charge! No experience or partner needed. Just turn up in loose comfortabl­e clothes and trainers or similar. Based in Bangor, it teaches and performs traditiona­l Morris dances from the Cotswolds. PALS SUPPER CLUB: (People Alone Like Socializin­g) Gwynedd, Anglesey & Conwy. If you’re alone (for whatever reason) over 55 and interested in meeting others in the same situation, for supper once a month. PALS plan to hold regular monthly supper nights in different towns. This is a bilingual group for single adults aged over 55, living in roughly a 50 mile radius of Bangor, North Wales, to expand their friendship­s with those who find themselves in similar solo circumstan­ces, to get out and socialize.

PUBLIC LECTURE: Climate change will be the focus of a public lecture at Bangor University on Wednesday, November 20. The speaker is Kevin Anderson, Professor of Energy and Climate Change at the University of Manchester. The lecture will take place at 5.30pm in the Eric Sunderland Lecture Theatre of the Main Arts Building. Admission is free, and no tickets are required. NORTH WALES GUITAR CIRCLE: are celebratin­g their 14th year this November and as a celebratio­n they are holding a concert and fundraisin­g event. Music played will cover all genres – Classical, Slide, Jazz, Flamenco and other fingerstyl­es, on November 30 at 7.45pm. This year’s chosen charity is Alzheimer’s Society – all donations and raffle money from the evening will be presented to the local North Wales branch in Conwy. An Evening of Guitar - Baroque to Rock will be held at Split Willow in Llanfairfe­chan, who are foregoing their room hire for the evening. This will be a relaxed and informal evening with chances to win raffle prizes and a few nibbles for those who are a little peckish. This is the first time NWGC/CGGC have held their concert in Llanfairfe­chan. Entry free but any donations however small or large are very welcome. Junction 15 off A55 – good bus routes!
