Bodedern hit five as St Asaph are routed

BODEDERN Athletic were 5-0 winners over St Asaph City in the Welsh Alliance Division One with Casey Boylan (2), Jamie Jones, Callum Thomas and James McMinimee all on target.

In Division Two, Brad Jones and Luke Appleby scored the goals in Llannefydd’s 2-0 win over Pentraeth, while Chris Bennett, Llion Vaughan Jones and Sean Pritchard were on target for Gaerwen in their 3-2 win at Mochdre Sports, Gareth Jones and Chris Lloyd replying for the home side.

On Friday night, a Joe Jones hat-trick was the highlight of Llandudno Amateurs’ 3-3 draw with Amlwch Town.

Gareth Torr rescued a point for Amlwch with a late equaliser with Dan Jones netting the other two goals.

In the Reserves Division, Llangefni won 3-2 at St Asaph thanks to a late goal from Harry Jones.

Steven Jones had earlier scored a brace for Cefni with Joe Hinchcliff­e and Jamie Jones (pen) scoring for St Asaph.

In the Gwynedd League, new signing Craig Moore hit four goals in Trearddur Bay Bulls’ 6-0 hammering of Llanystumd­wy.

Mike Davies and Justin Williams were also on the scoresheet for Richard Owen’s side, who remain in second.

Llangoed and Nefyn United played out a thrilling 4-4 draw.

Wayne Thomas (2), Tom Zalot and Patrick Mee scored for the Anglesey side with Dylan Sion Jones (2), Carl Jones and Danny Roberts responding.

Much-improved Bethesda Athletic led 1-0 at Bro Goronwy through Ally Issa, but Rui Silva and Henry Williams turned things around to ensure the Moelfre hosts won 2-1.

Menai Bridge Tigers won 6-0 at Llannerchy­medd with Jordan Pritchard (3), Mitchell Jones, Callum Davidson and Kelvin Frazer scoring the goals.

In the Anglesey League, Sam Williams scored an astonishin­g 12 goals in Mountain Rangers’ 16-0 win over CPD Cefni.

Terry Watkinson, Sion Lloyd, Osian Hughes and Simon Kay were also on target.

On Friday night, Holyhead Hotspur Reserves drew 2-2 with Arriva Bangor.
