Q

Tell us about your family

A

I am married to David Garner, a photographer, who is also taking part in this amazing creative arts adventure at Plas Bodfa. We have one lovely son, Andy, a radiotherapist currently working in Liverpool.

Q

What are you best known for?

A

I am primarily a printmaker but I also draw constantly and paint. In the last couple of years I have been expanding my practice and have also been making artists’ books and developing installation pieces.

QTell us about your exhibition

Where are you from? Anglesey

Tell us a little known fact about yourself: I may be the secret lovechild of Picasso??

What are your best and worst habits? I have too many ideas !

A

I am participating in Unus Multorum, an ambitious project at Plas Bodfa Llangoed, Anglesey LL58 8ND. It has been devised and curated by Julie Upmeyer who has selected 69 creative projects to fill her house. I have a beautiful space in which I will install my ‘Never Doubt Sanctuary’. In these times of uncertainty and worry it is gratifying to know that it is still possible to connect with others and make a difference. The sanctuary draws on ideas from religion, philosophy and sociology in order to create a space for reflection. There will be

prints, drawings, paintings and artefacts. Alongside the art work there will also be a number of events scattered through the exhibition including singers, poets and others who will perform in the space thus emphasising the positive aspect of human connection and reminding us of the words of Margaret Mead ‘ Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.’

QWhen is it running from/to?

A

Running daily 11am- 5pm from April 4 to 19.

Q

What can people expect?

A

People can expect to be blown away by the range of work on show throughout the house which will be bursting with creative energy and delight.

In the sanctuary they can take time to quietly engage with the work or they may happen upon an event they can enjoy or even join in with.

Q

Tell us five things which make your exhibition great?

A

1. Part of a huge exciting project that will intrigue and delight.

2. The excitement of chancing upon a pop-up event while visiting.

3. A fantastic space and venue that can only enhance any artwork.

4. An opportunity to be peaceful and reflect.

5. A chance to consider what is most important.
