SERVICE CONTINUES... BUT DOUBTS REMAIN OVER TICKETING

UK regional airline Eastern Airways now has its scheduled routes on sale which are bookable through its own website.
It comes after Flybe – which ran bookings for the route as a franchise partner of Eastern – went into administration on Wednesday night.
Prices on the Wales route – which is subsidised by the Welsh Government – will start from under £20.
Some passengers who booked tickets previously with Flybe could lose out though.
Eastern have honoured all Flybe bookings on the route since the collapse and would continue to do so until the end of yesterday (Tuesday).
But beyond then passengers with tickets booked with Flybe for future dates have been asked to contact Eastern Airways.

Roger Hage, Eastern Airways’ general manager commercial and operations, said: “We are pleased to announce that our flights are now on sale as we’ve moved quickly to introduce a new booking system for Eastern Airways flights since becoming independent again.
“Delivering regional connectivity is vital for economic prosperity and regional development which supports our ability to provide a quality, cost effective and speedy service to meet the needs of both business and leisure travellers.”
The independent operator, which was formed in 1997, has moved quickly to return back to its own standalone booking facilities after its former franchise partner, Flybe, went into administration earlier in the week.
