FRIENDS of an “amazing” dad-ofthree have shared their heartbreak for his sons who have now lost both parents within eight months of each other.

Hundreds of tributes have poured in on social media to “kind-hearted soul,” Robert Holmes, who was hit by a car while riding his bike on the A5025 Pentraeth

Road near Menai Bridge, Anglesey on Good Friday.

It comes after the 36-year-old from Menai Bridge lost his partner and mother to his three boys, Sioned Evans, 33, who died suddenly after going into cardiac arrest at Pontins in Prestatyn last August.

Close friends of the couple spoke of their devastation and sent love and thoughts to their children, Aaron, Jack and Connor.

One said: “Absolutely heartbreaking. “Thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and especially those three young boys who tragically have lost their mum and dad at such a young age. God Bless.”

Another wrote: “Such sad news.

“How much more does this poor family have to suffer?

“Absolutely heartbreaking. Sending all my love and thoughts to you all.”

One message read: “Such a very sad situation – my love and heart go out to those three little boys who have already had to deal with so much in their short lives.”

One posted: “I’m devastated that your family have to go through such heartache once again and my thoughts are with them all especially the three boys you spoke so highly of, where ever you may be I hope you find your peace.”

While another said: “Absolutely gutted Rob. You were a top bloke. At least you can be with Sioned now.”

One woman wrote: “I hoped this wasn’t true.

“So gutted. You were such a nice kind hearted soul, you were always a good friend to me, I will never forget you.” After her death last year, Sioned was described as a “loving mother.” Following the tragedy, more than £4,500 was raised after a GoFundMe page was set up to help her family pay for her funeral. Yesterday, Robert’s family released a statement saying they are “heartbroken.”

It said: “Our loving son, Robert Holmes died too soon at 36 years old, in a tragic road accident on Pentraeth Road. We are all heartbroken. He will be dreadfully missed by his three boys Aaron, Jack and Connor and his whole family and friends.”

Police and ambulance crews attended the crash scene on Good Friday and the road was closed for 19 hours. Sergeant Emlyn Hughes, of North Wales Police Roads Policing Unit, said: “Our sympathies go out to Mr Holmes’ family and friends at this difficult time.

“We are appealing for any witnesses or those with dashcam that were in the area of Pentraeth Road, Menai Bridge between 8.45pm and 9.10pm on Friday night.”
