Three arrested after drug raids
THREE people have been arrested following a series of drugs raids in Anglesey.
Four properties were raided by officers from North Wales Police on Friday before three people were arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply.
The raids were carried out by local officers supported by armed police, dog units, the police interceptor team and British Transport Police.
PC Dylan Thomas said: “Today’s operation signifies Anglesey’s policing teams’ commitment to disrupting the supply of class A drugs on the island.
“I would like to thank our colleagues from British Transport Police for their support today, which signifies our continued cooperation and intelligence-sharing.
“I’d also like to thank the local community for their help and patience as we carry out this operation and reassure them that tackling drug supply in our locality remains a priority.”
Separately, a drugs raid was carried out in the Caia Park area of Wrexham on Friday, where police said a “large quantity of controlled drugs” were seized.
They said a male was under investigation over the discovery.
Anyone with information regarding the production and supply of controlled drugs, or anyone with information about somebody they believe is involved in organised crime, is asked to contact North Wales Police on 101.
