This exercise uses the double popping technique in the first and third bars. The legato figure on the third beat of the first bar is quite tricky: you only slap once, on the D-string, and the rest of the notes are performed as hammer-ons, pull-offs and a pitched fretting hand slap. The second bar contains sliding tenths, a concept often used by Mark King of Level 42. Try to let the lower notes ring under the upper ones to enhance the chordal effect.
