Revving up the engines for Truckfest

-

Family show Truckfest is coming “back home” to The Royal Bath and West showground on September 1 and 2. As well as the hundreds of impressive haulage and industry vehicles on show, including a fantastic display of vintage and American trucks, there will also be a host of other four and two-wheeled attractions including giant car-crushing American monster trucks “Swampthing” and Slingshot competing against each other, crushing and jumping over the cars. And if all that’s not enough, there’s high-flying motorcycle stunts from the James Dylan stunt show in the main arena. There’s plenty to do in the family fun fair and inflatable kids’ zone and in a first to Truckfest they can even get a ride in a mini monster truck. There’s also the chance for people to ride in a monster truck which featured with Carol Kirkwood on BBC Breakfast Time last May. If reality trucking TV shows is your kind of thing then you’re in for a real treat with Outback trucker Steve Graham flying in from Australia to meet his fans and sign autographs. Or if you’re a fan of the hit TV show Ice Road Truckers, guest stars will include Ice Road trucker Todd Dewey who will play host in the main arena introducing the live acts and stunts. And if like the much of the country and you were glued to the show of the summer Love Island, Truckfest has confirmed stars from the show, finalist Wes Nelson will be there on Saturday and winner, Dani Dyer there on Sunday – both stars will be coming to meet their fans and sign autographs and to get that all-important selfie, so get your tickets booked now. If trucking vlogging is more your thing and you love all the trucking Youtube videos, Truckfest South West 2018 sees the introduction of our vloggers village. Top Youtube stars such as Luke C in a HGV, Trucker Jay and Kev Tee will join us throughout the weekend, meeting and greeting fans – signing autographs and taking selfies, and even showing off their trucks. With dozens of interesting trade stands, and top trucks on display from top manufacturers this really is the ultimate family day out. Advance single day tickets cost £14 for adults, children under 12 are free on show days and a family weekend camping pass is only £70. Advanced ticket sales ends on Friday August 31.
