All the world’s a stage - whatever your age

-

If you’ve ever fancied treading the boards but have thought you’re probably a bit too old then take a look at the Natural Theatre Company’s autumn programme. Their theatre school returns from September to November providing an alternative to traditional drama classes. After successfully launching a 10-week programme for adults in the spring they have brought the course back, alongside the Young People’s Company. These classes offer adult students the chance to learn from award-winning director Andy Burden, while having fun and learning new skills. Adult Theatre School participant Luke John Emmett called the classes great fun, saying they were “a real chance to just let go and learn in a really safe environment”. Advanced adult classes will offer those with previous performance experience the chance to build on their skills. Also returning to Widcombe Hill will be classes for young people, aged 11 – 18. The ever-popular youth theatre will provide young people with the chance to explore their creativity, play with costumes and learn from professional actors. Youth theatre takes place on Wednesday evenings from September 19 to November 28, 6pm – 7.30pm. Adult classes are on Monday evenings from September 17 to November 26, 7pm – 9pm. Advanced adult classes run on Thursday evenings from September 20 to November 29, 7pm – 9pm Classes cost £95 per term with the first session free.
