A HARD DAY’S NIGHT 12.20pm, BBC2

The Beatles, harassed by their manager and Paul’s grandfather, embark on a train journey to London for a TV show, but find themselves dogged by all manner of problems, including the inevitable overexcited fans. Musical comedy, starring the Fab Four alongside Wilfrid Brambell, Victor Spinetti, Anna Quayle, Norman Rossington and John Junkin. Songs include Can’t Buy Me Love, Don’t Bother Me and the title track.
