Hotel prepares phased opening to city visitors
A major Bath hotel is to reopen this month for staycations.
Apex Hotels has announced plans for its phased reopening with four properties, including
Apex City of Bath Hotel
(inset), set to welcome guests from Monday, July 20.
The 177 bedroom hotel is now taking bookings.
But under current Government guidelines, guests will be unable to use some of its facilities such as the swimming pool, sauna and gym.
The hotel group has implemented an ‘Apex Assured’ plan designed to give visitors peace of mind regarding cleanliness and safety, as well as ensuring flexibility on bookings.
With family and interconnecting rooms, households can travel and be accommodated in their own ‘social bubbles’ for total peace of mind, the hotel says.
Angela Vickers, CEO of Apex Hotels, said: “With lockdown restrictions easing, we are looking forward to welcoming guests who want to make the most of the remainder of the summer by taking much-needed staycations and becoming tourists in their own country.
“Following some challenging times for our industry, we are delighted to be getting back to what we do best and reopening our doors to guests who are eager to travel.
“Of course, in line with Government guidance, the Apex experience will be a little different now.
“As well as offering comfort, style, and our signature warmer welcome, our Apex Assurance goes one step further to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our guests.”
