Three city stores will not be reopening after lockdown

-

Three shops in Bath city centre have announced they will not reopen after the coronavirus lockdown.

Women’s accessories chain Radley, holistic therapies business Radiance Wellbeing and ladies’ boots store Duoboots have all closed down in the city.

A notice on the shopfront of Radley, on Old Bond Street, says: “Goodbye Bath, we’re sad to be leaving.” It adds that you can shop online for its products and you can visit Radley shops in Swindon and Street.

A sign on the Duoboots shop, on Milsom Street, reads: “The store is now closed.

“The management and staff thank you for your custom and support over the past 40 years.

“If you made a purchase from the Bath store before March 19 and require assistance, please contact customer care on 0330 100 3455 or email contactus@duoboots.com.”

Radiance Wellbeing, of New Bond Street, announced on Twitter it was permanently closing down.

The tweet states how the business had spent five “amazing” years in Bath but it could not continue without more financial support during the lockdown.

Part of the statement said: “We ask that in the challenging times ahead you continue to support all of those businesses still fighting to re-launch, re-open, and re-establish themselves in our fabulous city.

“We will miss you all but will also take so many incredible memories with us.”
