Used stamps can help a worthy cause We’ve still got time to change our minds

-

I am appealing for used postage stamps which help me raise funds which I then donate to the Guide Dogs for the Blind.

I am always in need of all types of postage stamps, including British, foreign and Christmas stamps. If you are able to help I would be grateful if you could cut the stamps from their envelopes (leaving approx 1cm margin around the stamp) and send them to the address below.

Myrna Chave, PO Box 91, Virginia Water, Surrey, GU25 9AR.

If you would like to contact me my email address is stamps4gdftb@ live.co.uk. Thank you to everyone who has donated in the past. Myrna Chave

William Keegan in Sunday’s Observer pointed to the reality of Brexit starting to sink in, and that going ahead with Brexit, especially in a time of plague, as being the height of irresponsibility.

He also says that polls now suggest that the majority of people disapprove of Brexit (Yougov 50% to 38%), so why do we keep on proceeding with this nonsense?

Furthermore, the 2016 poll was advisory and not binding. So what is going on here? One can only conclude that the future of the governing party, and specifically of one man, is being granted precedence, by that one man, over the future of the entire nation.

It is extraordinary that the results of the ill-conceived referendum - a referendum devised to sort out internal Tory party divisions - appear to be binding on the nation without the possibility of any appeal process as would exist in a court of Law. It is never too late to change ones mind, so let’s do it. Anthony Pearson
