Pupils provide festive cheer to home residents

The spirit of the season arrived at a retirement developmen­t thanks to a special delivery from pupils at a Bath pupils.

More than 35 Christmas cards handmade by pupils at St Mark’s School brought joy to homeowners at Mccarthy Stone’s Lambrook Court on Gloucester Road, Bath.

Each card included good tidings and festive messages from the pupils.

Nicki Beswarick, divisional marketing manager for Mccarthy Stone Southern, said: “This year it was important for us to get creative and find new ways of bringing the community together, despite the challenges we’re all facing.

“The pupils at St Mark’s School have gone above and beyond to produce some incredible Christmas cards, which have truly brought some yuletide comfort and festive cheer to homeowners at Lambrook Court.

Beth Rowlinson-baker, from St Mark’s School, added: “All of our pupils really enjoyed making and writing their cards.

“It was certainly a great way to get us all into the Christmas spirit and help to foster relationsh­ips between the generation­s.

“We’d like to thank all of the homeowners at Lambrook Court, the children were absolutely

delighted that they all enjoyed their cards.”

Designed for the over-70s, Lambrook Court features an on-site bistro, a homeowners’ lounge, which

is ideal for socialisin­g with friends and new neighbours, landscaped gardens in which to relax, and a hotel-style guest suite should friends or relatives wish to stay.
