The latest addition to Marriott’s Moxy Hotels chain has just opened in the heart of Miami’s Art Deco district.
Moxy South Beach, the hip hotel brand’s first resort-style property, has a playful design that celebrates the city’s colourful culture, the glamour of old Havana and the artistry of Mexico City.
Guests checking in at the retro-style Bar Moxy can enjoy a free cocktail. And views from the floor-to-ceiling windows in each of the 202 ocean liner cabin-style rooms are of the Atlantic Ocean or South Beach’s pastel-coloured architecture.
Dining options include taco stand and bodega, Los Buenos, restaurant and bar Serena, and rooftop bar The Upside, with its outdoor movie screening space.
Joining those offerings in April will be Mexican seafood restaurant Como Como and mezcal lounge Mezcalista. The property also features a cabana-lined pool, a fitness centre and the exclusive Moxy Beach Club.
