Red Stars place hotel among the best in country
A hotel in Bath has been described as charming and delightful as it received won a top industry rating.
The Queensberry Hotel, on Russell Street, has won four AA Red Stars for its “outstanding levels of hospitality and service”.
The business, run by husband and wife team Laurence and Helen Beere, has an attached restaurant, The Olive Tree, the only Michelin starred venue in Bath. The award ranks the Queensberry among the finest hotels in the country.
The Red Stars are the AA’S top accolade for hotels, regardless of size or type of operation. A hotel awarded red stars has been selected by the AA as one of the best hotels in the British Isles, offering high quality throughout, including outstanding levels of hospitality and service.
Two hotels were awarded the maximum five Red Stars - Gilpin Hotel & Lake House (Windermere, Cumbria) and Grantley Hall (Ripon, North Yorkshire).
Four Red Stars were also given to Fischer’s Baslow Hall (Baslow, Derbyshire), the Blakeney Hotel (Blakeney, Norfolk). The Pig at Harlyn Bay (Padstow, Cornwall) received three Red Stars.

The Queensberry is described as a “charming family-run hotel”, situated in a quiet residential street near the city centre, consists of four delightful townhouses.
The spacious bedrooms offer deep armchairs, marble bathrooms and a range of modern comforts.
