Magistrates hand out £2,500 fine for breach of restrictions
A man was fined £2,500 for not isolating after testing positive for coronavirus.
The incident was one of many covered in Bath Magistrates’ Court who regularly issue fixed penalty notices to people for breaching Covid restrictions.
Julian Adam Michael Drew, 32, of Devonshire Place in Melksham was fined the sum for not isolating after a positive test back on August 1 in Bristol. On top of the £2,500 fine, Drew also has to pay £90 in costs to the court, as well as £190 to the victims services. The case was dealt with at Bath Magistrates Court on October 26 along with others.
Eduardo Carmona, 22, of Crescent Gardens in Bath was fined £1,100 for participating in a gathering of more than six people on June 27 this year. On top of the fine he has to pay £90 in court costs, and £110 to the victims services.
Tara Dennis, 33, of Broadway Avenue, Bridgwater has been fined £1,100 for participating in a gathering in a tier four area of Bridgwater which involved two or more people. The incident happened on March 15. Dennis also has to pay £90 to the court in costs, and £110 to the victims services.
Ciaran Fletcher-murphey, 19, of Coldharbour Lane, Stoke Gifford, has been fined £660 for taking part in an illegal gathering which had two or more people back on March 12. On top of the fine the 19-yearold has to pay £66 to the victims services and £90 in court costs.
Stuart Innes, 56, of Webb Street in Easton has been fined £1,760 after failing to comply with a police officer’s request under Covid restrictions. As well as the fine he has to pay £176 to the victims services and £90 in court costs for the incident on January 25 this year.
Luke James, 21, of Newsome Avenue in Pill, has been fined £200 for leaving the place he was living without reasonable excuse while restrictions were in place on March 13. As well as the fine, James, has to pay £34 to the victims services and £90 in court costs.
Ashleigh Kerr, 33, of Hereford Drive in Taunton has been fined £1,760 for participating in a gathering indoors at The Waggon on Dorchester Road which consisted of more than two people on April 21 this year. As well as the fine, Kerr has to pay £176 to the victims services and £90 to the court in costs.
Jordan Mccarthy, 19, of Redshank Walk in Lawrence Weston has been fined £1,760 for participating in a gathering indoors of more than two people on March 17. He must also pay £90 costs to the court and £176 to the victims services.
Stephanie Jane Miller, 20, of High Street in Street has been fined £320 for taking part in an outdoor public gathering in Minehead on March 27 which had two or more people involved. Miller also has to pay £90 to the court and £34 to the victims fund.
Ali Mohamed, 21, of Barney Close, in Charlton, Greenwich has been fined £1,760 for taking part in an indoor illegal gathering in Yeovil on February 12 which had two or more people invovled. He must also pay £90 to the court and £176 to the victims services.
Siobhan Grace Pope, 30, of Bideford Crescent has been fined £1,100 for taking part in a private gathering of two or more people on March 13 in Hartcliffe. She also has to pay £90 to the court in costs and £110.
Liam Timothy Rennoldson, 34, of Galmington Road in Taunton has been fined for attending a gathering at The Waggon on April 21. He also has to pay £1760 in a fine, £90 in court costs and £176 to the victims services.
Matthew Leslie Reyland, 34, of Seavington has been fined £1760 for leaving the place he was living without reasonable excuse on March 19. On top of the fine he has to pay £90 to the court in costs and £176 to the victims services.
