Gainsborough’s House

Gainsborough’s House is the birthplace museum of the leading English painter Thomas Gainsborough, R. A. (1727–88). Now a museum and art gallery located on Gainsborough Street in Sudbury, Suffolk, this Grade-I Listed house contains the most comprehensive collection of the artist’s work within a single setting, and features a picturesque walled garden planted with 18th-century species.
