I Object: Ian Hislop’s Search for Dissent

British Museum, London 6 September– 20 January 2019 020 7323 8000 britishmuseum.org Private Eye editor Ian Hislop has selected a number of objects from British Museum collections that explore the idea of dissent, subversion and satire. Among the items on show are satirical Turkish shadow puppets, graffiti on a Babylonian brick, and the papier-mâché skeleton of a corrupt factory owner created for Mexico’s Day of the Dead festival.
