The BBC Philharmonic has announced that Ben Gernon is to become its principal guest conductor. Gernon,

27, begins his new role in the autumn, joining a classy BBC Phil roster that includes chief conductor Juanjo Mena and John Storgårds, who now moves up from principal guest conductor to chief guest conductor.
