In the April issue you say that George Antheil became a film composer in Hollywood. He did more than just compose. During World War II, he and the actress Hedy Lamarr devised a radio system for controllin­g torpedoes. Their radio system formed the basis for spread-spectrum communicat­ions which is used by, among other things, mobile phones and Wi-fi.
