Romanian soprano Adela Zaharia and South African tenor Levy Sekgapane have won Plácido Domingo’s highprofile Operalia competition, held this year in Astana, Kazakhstan. Each of them receives a $30,000 prize and, more importantly, a significant boost to their respective careers.
