At home with Ralph
To mark the 60th anniversary of the death of the British composer, a new Vaughan Williams Festival is to be held in Down Ampney, the Gloucestershire village where he was born. Held from 24-27 August, the festival will focus on the great man himself, but will also include music by composers that he worked with or in some way inspired. It is hoped that, after this initial outing, it will become an annual event. For more info, see www.vaughanwilliamsfestival.com.
