Roxanna Panufnik
As the daughter of the acclaimed Polish composer Andrzej Panufnik, Roxanna’s surname precedes her. She has rightly staked her own claim, though, as one of the leading composers of her generation, with regular commissions in both Poland and the UK.
November will see the premiere of her own celebration of Poland’s centenary, Faithful
Journey – Mass for Poland. Featuring hand-picked poetry sung in Polish, English and Latin, the work premieres in Katowice before embarking on a world tour. Look out for an interview with Panufnik in our September issue.
