‘How much?!’ is a phrase often uttered in hi-fi showrooms, though rarely in response to products being ridiculously good value. Something tells me it’s a phrase the people at Q Acoustics might get used to. The 3010i are incredibly sturdy and look great (choose from graphite grey, English walnut, carbon black or arctic white), sound superb and cost relative peanuts. Despite their compact size (25cm x 25 x 15) there’s a richness to the sound and a fullness to the bass I wasn’t expecting, with the 100mm and 22mm precision drivers able to convey the subtlety of the strings in, say, Mozart’s Eine kleine Nachtmusik then effortlessly controlling the boldest moments of a John Williams soundtrack.
