Prom from the past

Bernstein conducted twice at the BBC Proms, and this special Prom turns the clock back to the first of those concerts, in 1987. Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto and Mahler’s Fifth Symphony were on the programme, performed by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. For this homage to Bernstein 31 years on, Annalien Van Wauwe is the soloist, joining the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and conductor Thomas Dausgaard.
