Leeds International Piano Competition
The Leeds International Piano Competition has attracted the finest young pianists since it launched in 1963, and this September Leeds welcomes another 24 global competitors to the city. Celebrated as one of the world’s foremost music competitions and renowned for its focus on the core classical repertoire, the competition has helped launch the careers of piano greats such as Murray Perahia, Mitsuko Uchida, András Schi! and Radu Lupu. Experience the drama of the competition for yourself this year. Tickets are available from just £10, with heats taking place at the Great Hall, University of Leeds and the Finals at Leeds Town Hall (Friday 14 and Saturday 15 September) where competitors will perform with the Hallé Orchestra.
