This book tantalises, both from the title and through many interesting observations about eagle breeding, feeding and other behaviour, drawn from the author’s decades of experience observing this iconic bird. The text is dense and the layout crowded, making it not the most accessible eagle-watching guide, and be prepared, too, for both intriguing and irritating comments in reference to existing fieldwork methods and eagle-linked science. Nonetheless, plenty of nuggets to sift for.
