3 ROCKPOOL NURSERY

I go snorkelling in the shallow rock pools at Falmouth, Cornwall, whenever the weather, tides and work permit. A 6ft 3in man flying flat on his belly with a snorkel looks a bit silly I guess, but there is so much to see. On this particular outing in March, I spotted these nursehound shark eggcases. I took this photo with my camera in underwater housing and used a wideangle wet lens. I was lucky that the water was relatively clear, which is often not the case with the wind and rain.
