6 RIVERBANK TALE

-

I have been trying out a new location on the Sirhowy River in South Wales to photograph dippers. My subjects were off at a distance when a juvenile grey wagtail landed in front of me. To my amazement, its mother came along and started to feed it. I was only three to four metres away from the birds, and was blown away by the experience – it was certainly worth lying on pebbles on the river bank! Paul Sellwood, Newbridge, UK
