MOUNTA I N GORILLAS

-

You’ll be hard pressed to find a wildlife experience as moving as visiting a habituated group of Mountain gorillas in the luxuriant forest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Located on the edge of the Albertine Rift Valley, the park is home to half of the world’s remaining 880-odd Mountain gorillas. Your journey begins with a briefing from the head ranger, before your guide leads you through the dense forest to track these mighty creatures in their natural habitat. Once you’ve found a gorilla family, you’ll have an hour to observe them (for conservation reasons). We recommend adding a second gorilla tracking excursion into your itinerary so as to make the most of this unforgettable experience.
