CRITTERS ON CAMERA

I gave my young granddaughter Abigail, also known as Shrimpy, a new small camera recently, after she tried taking photos of her toes in the bath with the other camera I gave her! She took these insect photos in August at a village called Viens in Provence, south of France. Shrimpy found plenty of animals to photograph, including snakes down drains, little scorpions, and a praying mantis that took up residence on the terrace of the house ( top right). Last year we watched one catching wasps on the wing and then crunching its way through them!
