This punk-in­spired cater­pil­lar is a pale tus­sock moth. It feeds on a va­ri­ety of dif­fer­ent plants and ac­tu­ally used to be a pest of hop plants! The species is fairly com­mon in Eng­land and Wales and flies as an adult in May and June. Fe­males tend to be larger, but with plainer mark­ings.
