Making the right choice

The majority of conservation messages in the media say that we should be promoting biodiversity and saving endangered species because it is good for our wellbeing and has multiple economic benefits.

However, we must not lose sight of the fundamental reason – protecting the world’s truly amazing wildlife is simply the right thing to do. We have the creativity and the intelligence to turn the current tide of mass extinctions but do we, as individuals and as a society, have the belief and conviction?
