Take amazing images of birds of prey
Join a photography workshop in Slovakia for three days to photograph raptors and owls.
Accompany one of the UK’s leading wildlife photographers on a threeday birds of prey photography workshop in the stunning Slovakia. During this exclusive BBC Wildlife reader holiday with photographic tour specialist Tatra Photography, you will get the chance to take pictures of a wide range of raptors and owls – inflight and perched – in a wild landscape.
This is an incredible opportunity to capture breathtaking pictures of some of northern Europe’s most charismatic birds of prey, including golden eagle, white-tailed eagle, goshawk, peregrine falcon, snowy owl, eagle owl, Siberian eagle owl and barn owl, all within driving distance of your accommodation. Ben Hall is a specialist in bird and mammal photography and will provide expert guidance and tuition throughout the trip, enabling you to achieve spectacular images with the help of professional falconers and trained birds. These pictures would be almost impossible to achieve with wild birds without months of work.
One-to-one tuition will be provided to ensure that each participant (there will be a maximum group size of seven) gets the best shot in every situation. Plus, BBC Wildlife picture editor Tom Gilks will be there to share his insights into what makes a great wildlife photo.
During this break you’ll enjoy excellent food while staying in comfort at Hotel Carrera, Rimavská Sobota. The accommodation has an on-site restaurant and en-suite facilities.
