3 MISTY MOUNTAINS

-

While on a trip to New Zealand’s South Island I encountered six alpine parrots in Arthur’s Pass National Park. On this particular morning, the keas were nearly swallowed by the fog. The adults cleaned their plumage while the juveniles played tug of war with a wooden stick. The birds are known to be attracted to people when they enter their mountainous habitat and didn’t seem to mind me sitting there, watching them for nearly two hours. I’m glad I got to capture the mystical moment. Sarya Fark, Aegerten, Switzerland
