Truly marathon effort by Brian with 105-mile run for charities
AN endurance runner is aiming to complete four marathons over one day this weekend.
Local businessman Brian McGeown hopes to cover 105 miles, beginning this afternoon and finishing 24 hours later. He will pound the roads in and around Belfast and finish the test on a treadmill outside his city centre restaurant.
The restaurateur is raising funds for Children’s Heartbeat Trust; the Perinatal Trust in the Royal Maternity Hospital in Belfast, and Sands NI.
Mr McGeown has already run from Cork to Belfast to raise thousands of pounds for good causes.
