Friend helps dying mum fulfil wish to see Jackal

- BY ALLAN PRESTON

A TERMINALLY ill mum will be able to fulfil her dream to see boxer Carl Frampton fight in front of his home crowd after a generous friend bought her a ticket.

Dundonald woman Aundrea Bannatyne (42) revealed in April that her pancreatic cancer was incurable.

Since receiving the sad news she has vowed to create as many happy memories with her family as possible.

On Saturday Aundrea posted pictures on Facebook of her and her sons meeting ‘The Jackal’ and trainer Shane McGuigan.

“On my bucket list one thing I wanted was to see Carl Frampton fight at home,” she said.

“Everyone tried their best to get me tickets but they sold out in 30 seconds. Well my bestie Janine Halliday was a woman on a mission and she got me tickets. I cannot thank you enough, hun, for making this happen.”
