Four in hospital after stabbing
A WOMAN remains seriously ill in hospital after multiple stabbings which have left Co Down residents in shock.
Four people were rushed to hospital after they were attacked by a knife wielding man in the Queen’s Park area of Saintfield at around 3.40am yesterday. The only female victim remains in a serious but stable condition.
SDLP councillor Terry Andrews said the attack was deplorable.
He added: “To say this has completely shocked everyone is an understatement — there is total disbelief.”
The suspected attacker fled the scene in a blue-coloured Volvo C70, registration K9 NES.
A 46-year-old man has been arrested and was last night in PSNI custody.
