Inside Londonderry’s newest luxury homes
£600k houses finished with Italian marble and gold chandeliers
NORTHERN Ireland’s newest gated development — made up of six luxurious homes — has now opened for public viewing.
Coralmount, in the Waterside area of Londonderry, is the latest project from Taggart Homes, and is undoubtedly the most opulent project on the company’s portfolio.
Starting at £600,000, the stunning homes, which have already seen enquiries from all over Ireland, the UK, the USA and the Middle East, are the latest offering from businessman Michael Taggart.
Mr Taggart, who was at one time among Ireland’s richest businessmen and fought a long legal battle over bankruptcy, is now concentrating on the designer home market.
The Belfast Telegraph was granted a preview ahead of the official launch of Coralmount, which is the last word in luxury, both inside and outside, complete with pergolas, orangeries and copper canopies.
The dwellings are all around the same size, at more than 3,000 sq ft.
However, each of the six has been individually designed, inside and out, and all include spaces that can be utilised to best suit the owner’s lifestyle.
Michael Taggart said he isn’t anticipating a long wait for these houses to be snapped up.
He said: “There is a real sense that Derry is on a new trajectory now and it’s a very positive one. People are getting on with their lives now and there’s a real ‘can do’ spirit about the place.
“Coralmount is a real statement about where the city is at now and, more importantly, where it is headed. I’m very confident these homes will sell very quickly.”
He continued: “This new gated community represents years of experience in the building industry and draws from ideas gathered around the globe, and Coralmount is our greatest and most luxurious project to date.
“Our craftsmen bought into my concept from the beginning — to turn design ideas into stunning homes you just have to love. And I love what we’ve done here at Coralmount.
“Materials from here in Ireland, from Spain, China, Italy, England and beyond have been sculpted and honed into what can be seen today.
“Pergolas, garden rooms, hand-cut cobbles and copper canopies create a wonderful feeling of well-being outside.
“The feeling inside Northern Ireland’s most luxurious development is elevated to a whole new level with the finest materials, gold chandeliers, Italian marble, Irish wood panelling.”
He said the end result was a finish that is “exceptional”.
“The dedication to designer homes, built with care and attention and quality, is the cornerstone of what we do at Taggart Homes at all of our sites.
“And Coralmount is something very, very special,” added Mr Taggart.
