New Portrush homes to be ready ahead of The Open
Hagan Homes has said it is on track to complete a major £3.25m refurbishment of 24 homes aimed at holidaymakers on the north coast.
Hagan Homes bought the former student houses in Dhu Varren Park in Portrush last October and has been refurbishing them since.
The first six will be finished by September this year and the overall development of four and five-bed homes is to be completed by December — in time for major golf tournament The Open championship at Royal Portrush next year.
The houses will go on sale in June, with prices starting at £164,950.
Hagan Homes founder and chairman James Hagan said: “The Rocks, Portrush offers not
only the perfect ‘home away from home’, but also a remarkably tranquil setting and beautiful scenery to be enjoyed year after year, come rain or shine.
“Lying at the doorstep of one of the top-rated Blue Flag beaches in the UK and a wealth of unspoilt scenery and natural beauty, The Rocks boasts an endless variety of activities for the family to enjoy throughout the year.”
Three fully furnished show homes will open for visits this Sunday. The houses are on sale through estate agents Armstrong Gordon.
The development is part of many projects taking place in the town to get it ready for the hundreds of thousands of people who will attend next year’s Open.
Last month, funder Assetz Capital announced it was backing the construction of 20 apartments by MAM Group in Main Street.
And hotel group Andras House has launched revised plans for its revamp of the derelict Londonderry Hotel in the town centre. Other work includes a new public realm scheme and regeneration of Portrush Railway Station.
