Woman’s heartbreak at tragic loss of ‘soulmate’
THE partner of a Co Armagh man who died suddenly at the weekend has paid an emotional tribute to her “soulmate and best friend”.
Lurgan man Liam Campbell (36), who had been living in Cookstown with his girlfriend, Emma, and stepdaughter, Ellie, died last Saturday.
Emergency services were called to a property in Coolnafranky Park in the town around 1pm in response to a report that a male had been found unconscious.
In a Facebook post, Mid Ulster SDLP MLA Patsy McGlone had blamed the death on drugs, but the results of a post-mortem are not yet known.
The Ambulance Service said no one was taken to hospital from the scene, and a PSNI spokesperson said the death was not being “treated as suspicious at this time”.
Mr Campbell’s partner, Emma, told of her loss on Facebook.
“I am completely heartbroken, my life is ruined,” she said. “Liam was not only my boyfriend, he was my soulmate, my best friend and the most loyal person I could ever ask for.”
She added: “Death is the only thing that could ever have kept you from me.”
Requiem Mass for Mr Campbell will be held in St Colmcille’s Church, Carrickmore, tomorrow at 11am.
Interment will take place in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr Campbell is survived by his father, Bill, partner Emma, stepdaughter Ellie and sister, Jenny, as well as the wider family circle. He is predeceased by his mother, Monica.
