Learn more at diabetes awareness evening

-

LIVING with diabetes can be hard and talking about it isn’t always easy. This Diabetes Week, we are encouraging people to #TalkAboutDiabetes and share their own tips and experiences.

Diabetes UK Northern Ireland has teamed up with AWARE and the Royal College of Psychiatrists to hold an event to raise awareness about diabetes, distress and depression on Thursday.

At least four in 10 people with diabetes experience emotional or psychological problems, such as depression, anxiety and diabetes-related emotional distress.

Attending this event could be the first step to not only learn more about the condition, but also to talk about what worries you in managing it.

If you are living with diabetes, or caring for someone with the condition, come along to Malone House in Belfast on Thursday, June 14 from 7pm to 9pm. Everyone is welcome to this free event.

To book your place, email n.ireland@diabetes.org.uk, or call 028 9066 6646.
