Redevelopment of former police station in hands of city planners

“It has been an example of good practice in engaging with the community.

“I have seen the plans and they have really taken into account they are building in an existing community, so I think it’s going to be a nice development.”

The Green Party MLA has expressed some regret that the plan does not include an allocation for social housing.

She also raised questions over whether the parking space at the site would be rented by a separate company.

“We put it to them to see if they could guarantee whether the parking spot is allocated to the apartment,” she added.
