UTV Live is hit with viewers

Viewers in Northern Ireland are more likely to turn to UTV for their evening news, the report has revealed.

In 2017, UTV Live attracted a 38.3% average share of viewers between 6pm and 6.30pm, under double the Channel 3 UK average for the early-evening news bulletin slot (20.5%) and higher than all other UK nations.

BBC One’s counterpart bulletin in Northern Ireland, BBC Newsline, attracted a lower average share (30.7%) between 6.30pm and 7pm on a par with the UK average for the BBC early evening news bulletin (30.9%).
