Who am I?

An author, I was born in Mississippi in 1897. I was rejected by the US military because I was too short, so enrolled at university and began to publish poems and drawings in student magazines. I am famed for my novels of the 1920s and 30s, which include The Sound and the Fury, As I Lay Dying and Absalom, Absalom!.
