Wearing masks like using a sheep fence to halt mosquitoes: GP Anne Mccloskey

-

Heather Robinson: I find people wearing face masks don’t abide by the social distancing rules. Just because you have a mask doesn’t mean you can do what you like in crowded areas. I think we need to take advice from someone professional like this doctor and continue to stick with the two-metre distancing.

Ellen Ferris: I think I will pass on her advice and maybe listen to the infectious disease doctors.

Jean Buchanan: Truly frightening.

David Johnson: It’s more to stop you spreading it, especially if you don’t have any symptoms.

Paul Burke: Funny how the advice/comments on here differ. Anti-maskers quote scientists’ reports on wearing masks and then the pro-maskers come along and debunk the scientists and tell us how the masks work. We’re always going to be divided in everything, it seems.

Decky Mcalinden: The whole point of wearing a mask is not to stop you from getting it, but to stop anyone who has it from spreading it.

Sharon Kerrigan: We should have been told to wear masks at the start, instead of months down the line. It’s a bit late.

Sinead Doran: And what about the micro-droplets?
